"Frolicking in Springtime"

This doe that stares at you,
Betwixt grass drenched in dew
In this meadow where it grew
Frolicking in spring’s rebirth of new.

But should this time come to an end,
And the rustle of not foe nor friend,
Frightens this doe from its glen,
We miss the spring that was then.

Author notes

I chose option #2 and the words I used were: betwixt, meadow, frolick, rustle and glen. I hope you enjoy

Interesting piece! Maybe falters ever so slightly in rhythm here and there, but overall I like this one. It has an interesting beat and really paints the picture. Thanks for entering!
