I Found You

Missing image

In a touch
as light as a tap
I found you

Discovered a friend
listened to the wanderings
of your life

and cried with you
like a neglected child
in your anguish

Over time
I learned the softness
of your gentle heart

and dance with you
in words far to precious
to reveal in light

Now... I love you
wake each day to the music
of your voice

and find heaven
every time you hold me
close within you

A dream
made real for me
blessing all of my life

found in the lightest tap
of a poet`s hands
upon this page

My amazing love
discovered and

entwined

Now mine

Lee

Author notes

Like some of us,
I found a great person here on AP
Another benifit of being a lover of words.
We never know, whom we are talking to.
Perhaps a living dream.

Love you Baby, Love you Lisa
Hope you care for my words.

Rick

    Hi Rick,

Awwww...how sweet! And I love the pic of Lisa to go with your words. It's like she's looking down at them...

Just a couple small changes you might want to make:
    "My amazing love
    descovered (discovered) and
    intwined (entwined)"

I think you may be well on your way to filling up a second book on love, now that you have such lovely inspiration for your words again. It's still a little hard for me to read things like this and have a positive attitude, but I'm working on that. In the meantime...I still enjoy reading your poetry for the sheer joy I can sense in every word. I'd love to see you writing more!

    Much love,
    ~J.

This is embarrassing since I consider myself a tough girl, but I must admit my eyes began to water when I read this. You are both lucky to have found eachother and I could feel true love in these words.

    A Awesome Piece

This indeed is a powerful read. Although how many times have these words been said? Yet in diiferent forms...so many many times. Yet they never seem to stop falling from your lips.
I hope You find the happiness in this one lady. She is a lovely lady at that, just hope....

keep penning with love...one day it will happen.
