In these days of wayward ways
The time just slips away
Until tomorrow just leave me sleeping
Recalling all my yesterdays
Soon my tears and inward fears
Leave hope and sanity behind me
In midnight dreams beyond the moon
Is often where you'll find me
[CHORUS]
So don't go blaming rainbows for the rain
Leave yesterday to its own demise
Remember all the pain you feel
Is just your memories in decline
Don't go blaming rainbows for the rain
Or sad thoughts for your pain
We are all dancing to the same tune
And listening to the same refrain
Just let the good times roll the dice
And let tomorrow do the same
For we can't control these memories
That come like teardrops with the rain
We can wait forever listening to them
Fall like raindrops down a window pane
So take your chances with tomorrow
And don't go blaming rainbows for the rain...
The time just slips away
Until tomorrow just leave me sleeping
Recalling all my yesterdays
Soon my tears and inward fears
Leave hope and sanity behind me
In midnight dreams beyond the moon
Is often where you'll find me
[CHORUS]
So don't go blaming rainbows for the rain
Leave yesterday to its own demise
Remember all the pain you feel
Is just your memories in decline
Don't go blaming rainbows for the rain
Or sad thoughts for your pain
We are all dancing to the same tune
And listening to the same refrain
Just let the good times roll the dice
And let tomorrow do the same
For we can't control these memories
That come like teardrops with the rain
We can wait forever listening to them
Fall like raindrops down a window pane
So take your chances with tomorrow
And don't go blaming rainbows for the rain...

This is a very nice poem. Lots of emotion, and it flows like a well written song.
-
Indeed a tender entry bringing the deep immagery around the emotions which are very heart touching and yes quite expressive as well...
-
Well penned!
Thanks so much for entering.
Write on!
*PEACE*

Very Good
I think you should change the title a bit.
Maybe you would like to put:
'Don't Blame Rainbows for the Rain'
It does sound more appealing for the song. And line 16 would sound lovelier if you wrote it without 'the' and 'tune' it will fit more smoothly with line 17.
I think this is very nice.
