How sorry I am for protecting you.

I'm guilty of compassion
Feelings of loss and loneliness linger,
While thoughts pass by quietly.
I'm guilty of rememberance.
I apologize for seeming lost,
Yet being your ground when you fell.
Coming around to see your smile,
I'll embrace you and remember your scent.
I'll tell you I'm sorry for being your control.
I'll explain without tears,
How I'm guilty of loving you.
I'm guilty of being honest
Holding your memory within,
I will silently disappear.
With a sad expression upon my face,
I will prove how my apologies are never enough.
Fading out of reach,
Im much to guilty of compassion
To keep breathing for you.
