Hear the sweet sound of ethereal voices
Singing across the deep expanse
As a single cloud floats by, blazing white
Against the umbras, the apparition
A single cloud, not afraid of the ethereal voices
The gentle tinitinnabulation from across the stormy sea
Alone in the universe, one single cloud
Can live without fear of the spirits
Such a brave cloud, such an innocent mist
Knowing nothing of the ethereal voices that sing
Unaware that the gentle ringing of bells
Comes from a distant place, another universe
Where the only clouds are of fire and ash
Men fear the deceased, are afraid of their ghosts
Men utter not the name of that place
So distant, so close, so totally other
Hear the sweet sound of ethereal voices
Singing from another plane of existence
The cloud hears, the cloud rejoices at the sound
A could is only a cloud, only a little mist
No spectre or ghost or supernatural sound
Would scare a ball of moisture, blazing white
Floating by, sillhouetted against the doorway
Where the current pass on to read the next chapter
Author notes
I have two forbidden words in my title. I hope that's OK. If not, I'll change it. I have an and in there as well but is is acting to join two words not two clauses, so it's not really acting as a conjunction.
I have no idead how this came out of my head. It just did!

I enjoyed this. Maybe a bit wordy for the subject matter. More so, some words were repeated too much, e.g. "ethereal voices". It could be condensed a bit. But I liked the concept and images. Thanks for entering.
