So Close

I thought I could make it~

I'd had enough time

What really galls me~

I didn't do the crime!

I'd made it past the dogs~

dodged the search light

The exercise yard

took the rest of the night

With freedom so close

how was I to know

I couldn't read the sign

what a way to go!
