Hidden in a slumber,
Nightmares consumed my dreams.
The only way out
Was to feel you lying there
Calmly next to me,
A sense of being safe and so sound,
In the midst of absolute insanity.
I could feel your heart beating; whispering,
Repeatedly in my head,
You never let me fall in deep.
Keeping my mind from staying static
And falling into invisibly.
A frightening absorption
Of wandering into nothing
But all these years, you have been
The only one to keep myself secure
Finding me in the dense mist.
You are the dream that repeats
Over and over every night
A broken record I don’t mind,
Singing me an awakening dream.
Bringing my consciousness back to a place
So I can call you in the morning
In hopes to see you soon,
And feel you there again beside me...
Author notes
i've had plenty of those dieing dreams. But i've found if you think about things that comfort you before sleeping, it helps alot.
