His Love Written In Red

The road that He has chosen
Lead to the old rugged cross
An oydssey filled with love
Ending in eminent loss

A journey with great struggle
To save my pitiful soul
His message of Salvation
My eternal life, His goal

The pain that He endured
As He was hung from that tree
I cried out to my Savior
"Forgive me" on bended knee

My joy was over whelming
As my life He forever changed
With this one selfless act
My future He had arranged

As I share, His life's story
Of blood so freely shed
The thing that I'll not forget
His love that's written in red

This poem was well worth the Gold it received! What an awesome work of praise to Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The rhyme is stellar, the meter excellent, the entire poem is an inspiration. Thank you so much for this entry. For this to have been one of the first poems you posted, you were a poet when you got here as far as I'm concerned. I wish you well in this challenge.

    Much Love ♥

On the first line I think you mean to say "The road that He HAS chosen" but other than that a very nice work

You did well in relating the story but it did not flow all that well to be. You need some originality to it other than the obvious that everyone already knows. Like relating how He changed Your life not just the fact that He gave His so you may have ever lasting life. Everybody knows that story and He did the same for us all.

It is interesting to read, and it fit the contest well.
I think you did a good job in relating this to Christ's story. The whole poem felt stiff and awkward though.

very meaningful and as a believer I always love reading God's words and made me feel much so much faith that still lots of people in this world are really trying hard to share his wonderful love.

I really am surprised by this one.

It seems like something they would sell at the Christian Bookstore on a picture of cross with a faded crown of thorns or maybe a waterfall in the background.
Something in a high quality - but still over priced picture frame.

It seems pretty simple, I guess well done for what it is.
