Is It Love?

Thoughts are a mess
twirling and spinning out of control,
I don't know where I am going with this.

My heart throbs,
never ending pounding
deeper than my heart has ever been before.

The weightlessness I feel,
my stomach drops to the floor,
but is this love I am living?

What is this supposed to be?
I am sad to see you go,
because I know the feeling deep within
will leave when you do.

But is this love?
This suffocating aroma
that fills the empty air around me?

All the flutterings
clustered inside me,
are they the product of love?

I do not know what this is,
as I look into your perfect eyes
when you walk towards me,
I only know
that it is wonderful.

    nice write. i think all to often as girls we mistake infatuation for love. we grow up with stories like cinderella and such and just really want to find our prince charming. all i want to tell you...girl to girl...don't settle for less than prince charming. i'm not saying he has to be perfect, but becareful that you don't let love blind you from too many imperfections. don't settle for someone that doesn't think you're queen material.

    This is a really wonderful piece that I can really relate to. I especially love the lines
