If you see me walking in the rain
please just pass me by
I'm trying to wash away the pain
I heard in her good-bye
I like the rain
I know storms don't last forever
and blue skys turn from gray
But when I read your letter
I knew it wouldn't be today
I like the rain
So if you see me walkin
please just pass me by
I don't feel like talkin
I just want to cry
I like the rain
As the tears run down my face
it's like bits of you are leaving
As they wash away the taste
of love I wont be feeling
I like the rain
It's natures way of healing
it washes away the stain
Of memories I'm feeling
I like the rain
So if you see me walkin
please just pass me by
I don't feel like talkin
I'm just tryin to say good-bye
I like the rain

Thank you for entering ^_^
This is really wonderful. I love poems about the rain and nature. I loved your use of repetition. Lovely poem, Good luck in the contest @>}- -
I think this is one of you best lamenting poems. I love the second stanza- knowing the storm will pass, but knowing it won't be right away- it reminds us to keep hope, even when feeling so desolate. This was easy to relate to- I liked it very much.
