In the mirror to my soul
a burning fire's been reduced
not but embers, there remain
the faith I had in you is gone as well
although the picture from our past
still is etched into, my bleeding heart
the epic love from hence it came
also lies amidst its crystal shards
and therein it shall remain
locked behind these ivy darkened walls
stones put in place to dispel pain.
A single dove attempts at life
in the barren lands behind these walls
its pearl white feathers, turned
to burgundy from blood
pandoras words will spur it on.
My mind rewinds to times gone by,
velvet caresses in the night
my sorrow burns within me still
I'll always love you, know this dear
