The sun raises his weary head
And the moon puts to rest her ardent stars
As the Dark and Light collide
For one blinding moment
The fighting one holds back his sword
The air is still
In the burning afterglow of starlit glory
Lingering within consuming brilliance
A new day
A new world
Searching hands
Seeking eyes
Find the Dawn
A beginning of equilibrium
The balance of Day and Night
Kinship between enemies
The overpowering sun
The jealous moon
Finding no rest
Only the continuance of eternity
Endless heartbeats come to rest
The Dawn is near
The only moment of utter peace
When both Dark and Light come to face to face
Without blinding the other

i love this poem
i love this poem...
i like the first 3 lines the most
i can like...picture it so well... the sun waking up the moon putting away her stars...
instead of calling it dawn, i think you should call it collide or dawn (when light and dark collide) or something like that... -
I like this. I also like the ending. It feels like it fits because it brings the poem full circle from the beginning and the line "As the Dark and Light collide" but adds a little extra punch. Nicely done.

Hi :-)
I liked this poem, it is an interesting concept- describing light and dark like that. ANd the end is fine, dont change it. :-)

This is such a neat concept - the idea of dawn being a moment in time when there is equilibrium between night and day. The "sun and moon" in this piece feel like metaphors for "men and women". A thought provoking read. I enjoyed. - NANGALEEMA
