Angels fly with broken wings -
Or, none would fly at all...
Beneath each halo - there are scars
Of times they won't recall.
For, pain and insecurities...
weigh down their graceful wings;
Until they can no longer fly -
Ending songs an angel sings.
This wall does not protect you -
It secludes you from your dreams;
Imprisoned there - alone in pain,
To find no hope, it seems.
Brick by brick - destroy the wall,
Embrace the light that awaits...
Fly on angel's broken wings -
deny the past it's fates.
It took some time to build that wall -
Each brick, a tear you shed...
In a silence that imprisoned
All the cries for help you plead.
Life is calling - can't you hear?
There is so much more to see
As you walk out of the darkness
Beyond the wall - that sets you free.
Please tell me what you think

The walls we build.
We grieve God when sin builds a wall between us and Him. He sends His messengers to go his work among us. It has to be brutal for the angels working with us men with all the sin in our lives. It is only the saving grace of the blood f Christ that makes it so e can go and sit with Him in heaven. We need to be thankful not only for God, but also for his messengers who work between where he sits and where we not dwell. I am thankful for the angels and I need to repent and stop harming them, breaking their wings. -
i wish i had the ears to hear this call - - in too much of my own crap right now, i suppose. your poem is wonderfully made offering so much hope to the heart that is trying to find its healing. maybe someday, maybe, mine will find its way home.
