Embers glow hotly around the stepping stones
My faith is strong as I walk the path of heated rocks
Ignoring the pain,I concentrate on the ivy covered walls
Safely across, I wash my bleeding feet and gently wrap
them in burgundy velvet
The crystal goblet is handed to me with happy proud smiles
As I look into a large mirror, a pearl necklace is placed
around my neck
A dove settles gently on my shoulder in testament of my
passing this test

wow! you DID do it! lol
thank you...i've done the same
thing and just felt crushed
when I was told - but, you've
still managed to keep the essence
of the poem and I love it.

Thank you for entering my contest.
you did a fine job, however, I asked
for only ten lines
I am judging
now, so if you want to edit...hurry!
if not, don't fret...you are a wonderful
writer
Love, Lane
