as bits of spring are peeking through.
It's Mother Nature at her best,
with peaceful sights I'm always blest.
Each spring we see nature's rebirth,
I lay and watch down by the firth.
And to all this I can attest
with peaceful sights I'm always blest.
Fresh popping buds will soon begin
bringing new life to earth again.
On snow lined branches my eyes rest,
with peaceful sights I'm always blest.
The insects buzzing soon appear,
framed memories, I hold them dear.
To pollinate it is their quest,
with peaceful sights I'm always blest.
Now as I watch the melting snow,
it's to the spring I'll say hello.
Feeling of warmth inside my chest,
with peaceful sights I'm always blest.

Kyrielle
A Kyrielle is a French form of rhyming poetry written in quatrains (a stanza consisting of 4 lines), and each quatrain contains a repeating line or phrase as a refrain (usually appearing as the last line of each stanza). Each line within the poem consists of only eight syllables. There is no limit to the amount of stanzas a Kyrielle may have, but three is considered the accepted minimum.
Some popular rhyming schemes for a Kyrielle are: aabB, ccbB, ddbB, with B being the repeated line, or abaB, cbcB, dbdB. Mixing up the rhyme scheme is possible for an unusual pattern of: axaZ, bxbZ, czcZ, dxdZ, etc… with Z being the repeated line. The rhyme pattern is completely up to the poet.

A beautiful Kyrielle. I adore this form for the melodic effect it can have and I must say, that you have done it justice.
I'm aching for spring
I rarely find beauty in these late snowfalls, the ones that seem make it seem as if Spring and Winter have locked into a war of wills... but this snowfall was dazzling in its beauty...
though torturous at the same time. I now have more photos of the damage all that snow did to the trees on my property. If you live in a temperate climate, as it is here, you already know how heavy this spring snow can be... perfect for snowmen and racing a sled down a hill, but devestating to the branches that suspend it so beautifully.
All the same though, your poem is gorgeous. Thanks so much.
s and best wishes always... ~Genie~

Genie, Thank you for the applauses and your lovely words of praise for me here. I think we are all aching for the warmth of spring to start settling in. Get that chill out of the bones. LOL
The picture you used was absolutely gorgeous and instead of thinking of the chill of the snow it brought me thoughts of the spring arriving. Winter and spring do lock horns in their annual battle and it is such a beautiful sight to see. I'm very happy that you enjoyed my entry and thank you for the best wishes. It was my honor to be a part of this one. Love and God bless you always, in all ways.

Winter has left and spring is slowly making its way into New England. Emphasis on slowly there. LOL
I'm very happy that you enjoyed the peek at spring as I watched the last remnants of winter melting away. Love you my friend, Joyce

This is such a lovely write, and what's more, it afords the reader to experience through your eyes and thought. Your refrain "with peaceful sights I'm always blest" had the same meaning for me as 'sighs of peace'! Beautiful

I love kyrielles anyhow, and you've written about my favorite season as well. I always breathe a sigh of relief with the advent of spring, and your poem underscored those feelings wonderfully. Excellent consistant rhythm, too, which makes a poem extra-pleasant to my eyes. Good work, my friend!
