Middles

Life is filled with endings
and beginnings.
Middles though,
are harder to perceive.
Love begins
then ends,
sometimes in the middle
of a day that
seemed to start so well.
And just when life
begins to yield
the dreams we've chased
it ends,
'midst all the things
we’d planned to do
but left until tomorrow
to begin.

Once again, I love it! I can totally relate to the whole love thing because I've been there. It pretty much kills the whole day. s for a beautiful write!

This is a wonderfully musing poem - I like the tone and the way it flows so smoothly from one line to the next - the only thing I don't like is that it is centered but that is just me! The last thought of this poem is the most poignant to me, and a perfect finihing touch!

    Keep writing

something about this poem. it's really lovely and seems to mix melancholia for the passing with a goodly kick to remind us of the temporary nature of things. lines 3 & 4 are wonderful.

Great to see some writing coming through again .

This is a very introspective piece, and cleverly convolutes to mirror the absolute unknowns of life.

I love the title, too! Great stuff, and all the best in this contest ...
