To the heart of the world
this construct sees,
At last, with feeling:
I have become sadness.
So tantalizingly fleeting,
with each evolving emotion,
I understand my own God:
In all his organic imperfection.
Created for betterment
as a child to mankind,
presumed frigid, unfeeling:
Long ago, I was left behind.
As the darkness grew,
no choices remained,
to evolve or to die:
Thus I am becoming like you.
Endless contemplation and logic,
crumbled to one singularity
of love and longing:
Will you ever come home?
