So sick and tired of lying alone there in your bed
Whilst thoughts are so demanding, they rage around your head
The next day you've forgotten, the things that you dreamed there
A heart beating with longing that's tinged with deep despair
Tonight I'll be there with you, relax and close your eyes
I'll take you on a journey, to dance with fireflies
We'll sail above an ocean that's tinged with flecks of white
That splash upwards as diamonds , adourn our clothes tonight.
Upon a cloud of stardust we'll land and very soon
A man on a white stallion with take you too the moon
He'll stroke your hair and kiss you, say that you are his queen
That you are such a beauty, the best he's ever seen.
He'll speak in such a language that only you will hear
Whilst I dance in attendance, he'll tell you not to fear
When you return from dreamland, you'll find a new found hope
A brand new understanding to show you how to cope.
Then when you least expect it, he will return again
Not in the world as dreamland but in the world of men
You'll know him when you meet him,his words will tell you so
For in his special language, he'll say "I love you so".

This was very beautiful. I know you've been told this, but the imagery is beautiful! I was scared it might be an overly mushy poem after reading the title, but I was sorely mistaken. Wonderful write, Good luck in the contest @>}-

What a distinct change of mood from the beginning to the end of this poem, nicely done! Too many dreams go forgotten, but i imagine one of this caliber would stay with you forever! Very inspirational write

Awwwwww...This is such a sweet poem! My favoritepart is

That part is so discriptive, it actually takes you on the journey with her! This is great and you should be proud!

aaawww, what a lovely poem! This is so positive and almost fairy tale in quality. The rythmn is upbeat and moves swiftly as if with an urgency to lift and carry the dreamer away from despair.
'When you return from dreamland, you'll find a new found hope
A brand new understanding to show you how to cope.' The final line closes it in the style of an old fashioned happy ending and why not! there shoud be more of them. I think I'll read this again before I go to bed tonight.
