sleep without fear
sleep without a tear
I am here
i am near
You dreams will be battered by my fist of stone
in your dreams you will never be left alone
no moan
no groan
of sadness or grief or sorrow
will be left for you to remember tomorrow
I am a warrior of terror to woe
one wouldn't know
that I am fierce
i will pierce
any imaginary foe
through the heart
torn apart
and you will never know
of his existence
of my persistence
I will drive them away
keep them at bay
and away they will stay
Gentle I may be
To you my love
but to those I see
who dare to scare you my love
I am the monster guardian of your nightmares
so if you pity any woe causing foe
Let him know
To watch his back and be aware
I am hunting, I am there.

Remind me not to get on your bad side
Where were you a few years ago when I was troubled by such nightmares I couldn't sleep for weeks? Interesting write here with an unusual format. I found the meter to be a bit choppy in parts, especially when I tried to read this aloud. Feel free to make some adjustments as you see fit and I'll catch them on the reread before judging. Thank you for your entry and best wishes in the contest
Ruth
