Falling through a world of troubles,
Glancing past a sea of pains,
Finding bliss in nothingness,
Shedding the real world's chains.
Losing myself in darkness behind closed eyes,
Blinding myself with the whiteness of the unknown,
Going on quests to find what is not there,
In isolation you never feel alone.
Drowning myself in the emptiness of a vacant soul,
Hidden in the twilight,
When it is neither night nor day,
Escaping from reality's sharp bite.
Through forests where darkness reigns,
Light is everlasting ,
Hanging like cobwebs clinging to a doorway,
There I will be hiding, the bright and the black contrasting.
As long as there is horror, terror, fright,
As long as monsters are under our beds,
In the rarely dusted corners of our minds,
I will be concealed from the world's dreads.
Too much to bear,
I will no longer be bound captive by life,
In the grayness of silence,
I will live without strife.
