Curious layers
of tissue thin illusion,
baby blue to cerulean,
wrap memories in seclusion.
Silken sheets
of translucent paper,
soft pink to hot fuschia,
heat remembrance to vapor.
Colored papers
of handmade fiber,
ochre to burnt sienna,
burn the ink of the inscriber.
Fragile surfaces
of memories restraints,
ocean aqua to brilliant turquoise,
blend to reality as the mind paints.
Memeories as distant as decades
merge with those of recent hours,
shy violet to passionate plum,
bowing to reality's powers.

Author notes
The artist paints, dreams---and lives---in color,
a tapestry merged of then and the powerful now.
Words come alive when answered in kind.

As I said, bright aquarelles! Paint on Miss MC

It feels just great when we can connect colour with words. Actually I think every letter we write has a special and particular hue. Sometimes thy aren't there to see but to feel. Here, I got to use the sense of sight and perception of what is painted beyond the verses.
You are pretty much like a painter of bright aquarellas, where pastel colours become intense colours.
That is what you do when you write

Ah, you, perceptive one, add so much insight to
the commentary---the thought exchange!
Thank you!

you must have great love for your work, you describe it with almost as much detail as you must put into it. i like how you worked in the memories of life, while still focusing on the topic at hand.

Yes, boz, I do get quite wrapped up in it,
literally as I had been making poofy tissue
wrappings for some small birthday gifts for
a friend. Analogies forming in my mind...
Thank you for your perceptive words.

Hi, Olivia.
I was thinking about layering
colored tissue to create
a collage, then scan it,
but this was so dynamic,

Mary, don't you just love it
when the right image is found
just as one sees it in the mind?
You always have the greatest
illustrations for your words!!!
Nice to see you here,

I took the final lines of each of your stanzas, and in mind's eye, poemed my own. I do not now if this was your intention, but it does accentuate both the title and the words in your author's notes. I enjoyed this write.

Aha! Observant one!
I often relate stanza to stanza,
the order of the lines, in my mind.
Sometimes this is seen,
but you captured this on first sight.
THANK YOU!!!!
