Reaching far back into human history, the battle between religion and science is archaic as the subjects themselves. In recent years, the argument “Creation VS Evolution” has been a controversial topic debated in many aspects of society, from government and its right for both sides of creation to be taught in public schools. However, through my own person studies I was surprised too find much coloration between the two world, and in the end revealing that science may very well prove the very existence of a universe governed by an higher power.
The theology behind creation differs from faith to faith, the concepts of an original Earthly paradise are found in various religious text and cultural mythology. Possibly the most know tale, is the story of the seventh day of creation of the Heavens and Earth – recalled in the book of genesis in the Hebrew scriptures of the bible.
“1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 Now the earth proved to be formless and waste and there was darkness upon the surface of [the] watery deep; and God’s active force was moving to and from over the surface of the waters.”
Genesis 1, 1-2.
Scientific evidence indicates that the planet formed 4.54 billion years ago, which brings up the question, what are the seven days referring to in Genesis.
When studied in later scriptures of the bible, God reveals that a day in his spectrum of time is a thousand years, not twenty-four Human hours. The Bible teaches that before Jesus lived as a man on earth, he lived in heaven as a mighty spirit creature - John 17:5: Colossians 1:15.
Meaning God, Jesus and Angels lived hundreds of thousands maybe even eons before the Earth was formed. Showing that no, the Earth was not created in seven earth days yet it took thousands of years for God to complete his celestial project. Now if a thousands years is day in Gods time, then the formation of the earth surface, must of took seven thousands years, as it took the entire planet close to 1.5 million years too cool, at an sufficient temperature able too support carbon based organic life.
Even if we look in the other direction within ourselves the recent mapping of the human genetic code raises the questions: How were the multitudes of life-forms created? And who, if anyone, created them? The sheer complexity of our genetic blueprint moved a U.S. president to say that “we are learning the language in which God created life.” One of the chief scientists involved in the genetic decoding humbly remarked: “We have caught the first glimpse of our own instruction book, previously known only to God.” Human thinking limits us to think in both scientific and spiritual terms, as society has been taught the two are diametrically opposed.
Beyond the creation of just Earth brings into question the formation of the universe it’s self.
Today, scientists generally acknowledge that the universe did have a beginning. One prominent theory that attempts to describe this beginning is known as the Big Bang. Francis Crick. Jastrow refers to this cosmic “explosion” as “literally the moment of creation. However, as astrophysicist John Gribbin admitted in New Scientist, though scientists “claim, by and large, to be able to describe in great detail” what happened after this “moment,” what brought about “the instant of creation remains a mystery.
However, simple physic shows us the universe was created in huge explosion, but is it possible that this may have been the very method God used to create the universe?
Think about it like this- all things are created from energy, everything is nothing without it.
How would you instantly fill a pocket of space-time with the necessary endless raw material needy for a perfect universe? Simple, instantaneously fill it with energy, from there God can mold and shape the raw energy to his liken. The universe is still expanding and only a powerful blast or explosion can continue to form new universe. The idea is highly controversial, but then again God and science are just clever words for controversy.
The very acts and exploits of God have always been chalked up to mystic powers or suggestions. A common saying people here “God works in mysterious ways” has been widely accepted as the final resolve for the power God posses. When taken a closer look into biblical scripture, it evident that God is no mere magician who just makes waves a wand or recites a magical phrase. The bible shows that God manipulate already proven scientific forces on Earth and in the universe to accomplish his goals. Case example, the “great flood” The story of the Noah and the great flooding of the earth, has appeared in not only in Hebrew and in Christian doctrines, but in many societies and cultures has a variation of the flood story. In the all versions there seem to be several consistent themes.
God (sometimes Gods) became angry at the sin of humanity and flooded the world, a few chosen people survived the great deluge in man made vessel, usually and Ark or some other type water vessel. When the floodwaters resides the survivors are charged with restarting humanity.
In times past, certain primitive people (in Australia, Egypt, Fiji, Society Islands, Peru, Mexico, and other places) preserved a possible remnant of these traditions about the Flood by observing in November a ‘Feast of Ancestors’ or a ‘Festival of the Dead.’ Such customs reflected a memory of the destruction caused by the Deluge. According to the book Life and Work at the Great Pyramid, the festival in Mexico was held on the 17th of November because they “had a tradition that at that time the world had been previously destroyed; and they dreaded lest a similar catastrophe would, at the end of a cycle, annihilate the human race.
With the Deluge great changes came, for example, the life span of humans dropped very rapidly. Some have suggested that prior to the Flood the waters above the expanse shielded out some of the harmful radiation and that, with the waters gone, cosmic radiation genetically harmful to man increased. However, the Bible is silent on the matter. Incidentally, any change in radiation would have altered the rate of formation of radioactive carbon-14 to such an extent as to invalidate all radiocarbon dates prior to the Flood.
With the sudden opening of the ‘springs of the watery deep’ and “the floodgates of the heavens,” untold billions of tons of water deluged the earth. (Ge 7:11) This may have caused tremendous changes in earth’s surface. The earth’s crust is relatively thin (estimated at between 30 km [20 mi] and 160 km [100 mi] thick), stretched over a rather plastic mass thousands of kilometers in diameter. Hence, under the added weight of the water, there was likely a great shifting in the crust. In time new mountains evidently were thrust upward, old mountains rose to new heights, shallow sea basins were deepened, and new shorelines were established, with the result that now about 70 percent of the surface is covered with water. This shifting in the earth’s crust may account for many geologic phenomena, such as the raising of old coastlines to new heights. It has been estimated by some that water pressures alone were equal to “2 tons per square inch,” sufficient to fossilize fauna and flora quickly.
It has been said that if all the moisture in the atmosphere were suddenly released as rain it would not amount to even a couple of inches if spread over the earth’s surface. So from what source was this vast deluge of Noah’s day? According to the Genesis account, God said to Noah: “Here I [Jehovah] am bringing the deluge [or, “heavenly ocean”; Heb., mab•bul′] of waters upon the earth.” (Ge 6:17, ftn) Describing what happened, the next chapter says: “All the springs of the vast watery deep were broken open and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.” (Ge 7:11) So overwhelming was the Deluge that “all the tall mountains that were under the whole heavens came to be covered.”—Ge 7:19.
Science, in its different branches, is also thought to have answers to many of the everyday problems of life. Many feel that the answers it does not now have it will soon get, so that eventually man’s problems, such as those concerning food, clothing, housing, disease, and even social and moral problems, will all be solved. The relation between science and religion is an odd one at best. Yet time after time, the fields of various science disciplines has proved that our existence is not merely a byproduct of chance. Scientist the world over is now acknowledging that our world/universe may very well be a creation of higher intelligence.

An interesting look at science v religion though personally I do not tink that scientists will ever believe in a higher power. They are blinded by text books and theories and the need to see.thankyou for sharing your thoughts, Ros

Several typos leave this with poor grammar. As a "philosophical" writer, it's a negative reflection though not on the points made. Please, do consider revising. Thanks for the entry.

This needs to be 1500 words
To qualify, please bring it up. I want you in. In fairness to all. Expand your entry. -
Very good write and insight but I only count 658 words?

-
hahahah I got 652??? but i know there isn't over 3000

of the entries so far, you my friend, are the only one to get it right. All things, including science are small steping stones to lead us to the fact everything known and to be learned and seen or to be seen are creatons of God. And that ultimately science will discover a particle that defies quantum dissection. That will be the point when the world accepts God as the creator of all. Hats off to you,
read this and learn;

I like your topic
I need a word count; 1,500 min and 3,000 max. Has good depth and the argument is stated well. But, there are many typos and bad grammer. Some line breaks might be changed. All in all, a good first read. Thanks

looks like we have both had it mate in the competition stakes! We fell short of the rules.
But hey in every negative there is always a positive!
MM might write two thousand words on the philosophy of that thought?

-
i'm just mulling through this contest and the rules... and i see you've entered a pretty good piece, but it looks about 1500 words short of the asking???

my word count is 3,876

Thank you for the update
The existence of God, evolution and creation. The alteration of history by the flood and the interconnection of man by past events. You took on a big challenge. I like most your use of biblical quotes to support your premise. Thank you, for your entry and some ideas to ponder. -
hahahha ... there are 652 words hun... just checked it in microsoft office...
each side of A4 paper will fill about a thousand words and this isn't that for sure... but keep on trying
transfer your words to WORD in microsoft office and work on it there.. or even WORD PAD.. and you can do a word count.. i think you might have done a character count which is something altogether different
