Chained to your way of thinking ~
cut out like a paper doll
not made for rough hands
molding me
into a worthless wreck;
swinging by your words.
Tangled
between each finger you point ~
this child
in women's clothing
bleeds...

Wow you have taken this prompt and made it your own in the words you pen....simple words with such powerfully strong images
brilliantly constructed. Good luck in the contest.

Well said. The young can be controlled and molded into what the controller wants. This poem is very scary in its truth.

oh wow the way you have penned this with such strong metaphors it speaks alot
i love this well done mummy

Excellent. Love this line: "cut out like a paper doll NOT MADE FOR ROUGH HANDS", just love it. To be out of place is never comfortable in the first place, but to be also in the midst of accusation and negativity, is unbearable. Who wouldn't bleed? Great one.

this works
...definitly!

It's a sad portrait of someone controlled by the machinations of someone she probably loved once. I have no idea why some people feel they must control those they say they love.
