Quantifying love
Expressing love
Feeling love
Living love
Love, love
You asked how much I loved you
and how much our love mean't
But of course over the years
love is still growing strong
so don't try and gauge a love
it simply cannot be quantified
But when you tell them of love
through expression and cradle I
I know they nothing about you
I love them as much as you do
But you know our love is love
When I touch the unerring face
And breathed upon unopposed air
That speaks of your devotion
with unlabelled lines and truth
I felt love dry like an early mix
Cemented in a house left in love
out onto the parameters of home
to the workplace into the boss
Staff tell me how much they love
You, come home to nice food fight
Jelly and blancmange love like lips
And soft hand shakes that heal
and precipitate the sunlight
Of our eyes enhanced equivocally
Love is dessert and supper too.
Author notes
Check Jaques Derrida on You-Tube he gives a more coherent analogy of love.
