The days have rolled by
since our last chat.
Our last goodbye
left no knowing where were at.
The hours have melted away,
since I heard your loving voice.
I have had so much I wanted to say,
but then I didn't have a choice.
So, I’ll try
to speak my mind
without starting to cry
as all my pain and thoughts become intertwined.
I can’t believe
all we’ve been through.
I can’t even conceive,
why God blesses me with you.
I sit here marveling in
all you’ve taught me.
From wiping the tears into a cheesy grin,
to being able to see, what no one else dared to see.
You’ve taken the burdens of lead,
my weary heart couldn’t bear.
You’ve stop the wounds that have bled
as old wounds and scars tear.
Chris, you’ve loved me
like no one else could.
You took the time to see
what no else would.
The past year
has opened up my eyes
and forced me to reliquinsh my fear
of removing my disquise.
Your heart's always comforted me
when you couldn’t be here,
to see
that I defeated my fear.
You've shown me the defintion of being loved.
The past 10 months I have never
felt unloved,
or doubted our forever.
You’ve taught me to love again,
when I swore:
Never again
would there be someone to adore

are heart piercing...so lovely.
