Shadows of Angels

Shadows following me everywhere I have traveled,
Knowing that on the other side of each shadows lies,
Angels watching over me sent to ever guide me through.

Caressing me their gentle, loving, and tender touch,
Easing all my pain and sorrow that I have to face,
Letting me know how much God loves me no matter what.

Feeling their ever presence so close to me everyday,
Shadows of angels comforting my soul on the other side,
I know that I should not fear nor want of anything.

Because they'll be there even when I leave this mortal life.

Beautful Poem, so much meaning, may I request though that you change the title so it makes my judging easier.

This poem is so softly spiritual. You really took the prompt and wrote out of the box. I would never have thought as an angel being my other shadow. Congratulations on HM. As a poet, may I give you a suggestion? This poem most likely would have won gold. You use way too many filler words. This is not like prose. Here is an example:
    First stanza, edited:
    Shadows follow me everywhere traveled.
Knowing on other side of echoed form, lay
angels sent to guide me through.

This way, not only are you using a metaphor, but you avoid redundancy. I am still in the process of learning myself, and always appreciate constructive criticism. I saw you are new to this site. I just added you to my fav's and will be checking back to see how you are doing!

I like the idea of angels looking over us, protecting us, guiding us. Your poem has that warm, calming effect and is filled with hope and strong belief.

It's great to have such a belief system!

Wonderful this is such a thought provoking piece even for the folks who are not so religous. Very well written indeed and best of luck in the contest. Sure does make you think about living for the moment as life is so short
