"One by One"

"One by One" the raindrops continually fell

across the rooftops, 'Oh the stories they tell

From the hands of distant Angels they poured

and not even one ~being ignored

Each unique and everyone accounted for

falling to the ground till there was ...No more

Some spoke of the blustery wind

some just smiled and silently grinned

Many told of times with saddened cries

that they seen come from so many eyes

Others laughed aloud, then quickly disappeared

while the smaller ones quietly persevered

Like pennies from heaven, shiny and new

having a purpose as they fell from view.

                                                           .

                                                                                            .

                                                     Y

This is truly a wonderful piece. Many stories can be told about the life of a raindrop. You can compare it's unique life to that of our own. With many stories to tell, many emotions, and many paths that we have taken. Thank you for entering this piece into my contest. Best of luck!
