Life begins, life ends
What happens in the middle?
Does it really matter at all in the end?
We strive to find the meaning of life in this meaningless world
In the process we forget that we all came from the same place
And we all end up in the same place
Our mothers experienced joy and pain
In giving birth
We never asked to be here, but we are
We all go through the joy and pain of living life
Some, more joy
Others, more pain
Some will go through excruciating pain in death
Horrifically meeting heavens gates
Abruptly
Others will pass silently to the other side
Just as they pass silently through life –
Nonexistent in society
Society wants us to believe we all have a purpose on this earth
What of purpose?
We all end up the same way in the end

lots of truth in this and i really liked the content and the form;from a philosophical point of view it is a bit bleak.there may not be a meaning or purpose to life but its our job to find one that works for us.still excellent writing.

This is very interesting, and I definately mean that in a good way; it made me think. All of the phrases in italics stuck with me the most and got me to look at things in a different way. My favorite part was the sixth stanza, "Nonexistent in sosciety." Great job!

Oh yes dam the Worms. If we realized that we just wont be here soon and nothing we have here will go with us. Why do we collect so much baggage along our short stay? This was a mind challenging write better make some coffee I'll be up late thinking about this

I really like the way that this was formatted, the italics add much to the poem... I like that you make a point and proceed to explain it so well
the inspiration you took from the quote was wonderful
Keep writing
