Into despair
a broken heart
all of my world
is falling apart
Into despair
a wounded soul
who can heal
and make me whole?
Into despair
here on the ground
my endless cries
the only sound
Into despair
my life is done
my heart is broken
I lost my son
Into despair
can no one see?
how many hurts
are killing me?
and my Father speaks
a gentle sweet calm voice
Into despair
I sent my son
he was the lamb
the chosen one
Into despair
born in the hay
The King Of KIngs
in a manger lay
Into despair
and hated by men
and all because
he did not sin
Into despair
beaten and bruised
his loving words
simply refused
Into despair
pierced by nails
listen and hear
the angel wails
Into despair
he breathed his last
all of his hurts
and sorrows past
Into despair
laid in a tomb
a journey of death
from mother's womb
and my Father speaks
a gentle sweet calm voice
Out of despair
come forth my son
let life return
to my chosen one
Out of despair
let others see
from chains of death
I've set you free
Out of despair
and from that place
came here and stand
before my face
Out of despair
They're welcome here
delivered from all
their doubt and fear
Out of despair
they all can be
If they'll but place
their trust in me
and my Father speaks
a gentle sweet calm voice
One day my child
He's waiting for you!

Wow! What a powerful poem! It flows well and has such a wonderful message. I really like this one. I like the progression in it from your own pain to the pain of the Abba/Father.
Well written!

this poem brought me to tears. God can do this for people too , but sometimes, for some of us, it seems it is not in this lifetime, right? because... anyway, what a wonderful heartfelt tribute to our Lord and Savior Jesus and to our real FATHER... God ... ♥ LOVE, prettypoetry

WOW
I am really floored with this one, it is so awesome and emotional. It seemed I could feel the desperation and then the love of God. This one has to be at the top of your best list (if you had one).
The flow, meter, and rhyme are wonderful too,

Just Beautiful
Wow you really penned the emotions and truth of the realities of life and dispair, but the true hope in our Lord and Savior. This poem was very spiritually uplifting and I so needed this.
