It comes and it goes
But what can I do?
Your memory remains
And this hate falls on you.
This cross to bear is
My one gift to you
With a truth like nails
Straight through the heart of you
In silent suffering solitude
She exhales light and sound.
Her faintest hopes flicker and fade
And only her quickest breaths resound.
Weighted words etched in frozen flesh
Mean more than the blood in which she drowns.
It comes and it goes
The fleeting warmth in my heart.
If honesty is a bloody spree
Then this soul is where you start.
This is my gift to you
Every chance to tear me apart.
And upon every kiss is
A promise to depart.
In silent suffering solitude
She smiles so sweetly suicidal.
With every minute passing comes
Thoughts of another fallen idol.
Trapped within her disturbing dreams
Her once sweet smile now falls idle.
The angels in her dreams
Are never as sweet as they seem.
Stealing an innocence she can't redeem
And stifling her startling screams.
In silent suffering solitude
She exhales light and sound.
He faintest hopes flicker and fade
And only her quickest breaths resound.
Weighted words etched in frozen flesh
Mean more than the blood in which she drowns.
