In Dreams, why do I stay awake?
Protecting something no one can take?
Do I want to drown in fear?
Or stare endlessly, soaked in my own tears?
I cannot save what I've already lost.
I'm sure it's in my view, covered in frost.
I spread my arms to make Human wings,
In hopes of shedding this sadness, and my spirit flings.
One jump over that ocean view of noble blue,
Franticly flapping wings, recently plucked by you.
Falling into clouds more toxic than Death.
I become more alive with every failing breath.
I close my eyes,
And pretend to fly.
I was the one who leaped,
Into invisible arms, then slowly seeped
Into the clouds below.
I might have seen this coming from he last Hello...
