Into The Blue

Birds asleep ~ beaks under the wing
as morning mist shrouds a gray morn
the sky turns light they wake to sing
for on this day Blue Rew was born

This day is yours to find new love
and put old woes up on a shelf
look for peace in the sky above
and then find it within yourself

face the day with a renewed will
and the plan to make a new start
as light falls on the window sill
Let the light also fill your heart

the sun will rise in your sad eyes
reflecting a soul pure and true
lift up your wings to soar the skies
become the bird known as Blue Rew

This is truly a beautiful gift of hope...
and it comes when I am in the process
of trying to find my wings again. So insightful
and wise; your words create a positive spark
and will do so each time I read them. Thank-you!

Lovely wishes beautifully expressed. I enjoyed your rhyming, and warm wishes for a dear friend. I especially liked "put old woes up on a shelf," "as light falls on the window sill let the light also fill your heart," and "lift up your wings to soar the skies." Just delightful.
