Now I wake
my eyes to see
For sobriety has
finally come to me
The smile once gone
from my face
Has now returned
to take frowns place
A heart that was once
so cold and black
Has now been mended
for love has come back
And all my life
does now unfold
To bring me riches
that the big book told
Family and friends
all around me now
I enjoy every moment
and need not wonder how
Life has become
such a joy to live
With each opportunity
I am willing to give
