Seeing The Truth

I watch him betray her
I watch him not see
That she is so hurt
And she wants to be free

Free from the pain
Burning inside
Free from the tears
All the ones she has cried

I watch from a distance
I watch her dissolve
My once strong protector
Needs my to evolve

I comfort her sweetly
I do whatever I can
To save my protector
But I need a plan

I can’t point it out
But he doesn’t see
That she’s not really fine
She’s in misery

He doesn’t see behind
This mask that she wears
Some times I wonder
If I’m the only one who cares

Alone I must save her
No one else tries
No one else holds her
Every night when she cries

He has no idea at all
That he causes her pain
That he is the reason
Her tears fall like rain

But she only cares about him
As if he were the hero
And even though I saved her
In the end I am but a zero

This is so sad. I can kind of relate to this in a way. I really enjoyed reading this. Thank you, and good luck in my contest.
