Beneath the Fan

Missing image
I wake lying across my king sized bed
Looking up at the ceiling fan turning
Creating a ringed silhouette above

My eyes wander down to a pale ankle
Resting on my chest like an open book
Wearing a chain with a magnetic clasp

It's attached to a slender milky leg
Moving my hand up, feeling its texture
Stopping at a pair of violet panties

Sliding fingers beneath the elastic
Then releasing it with a light crisp snap
The ankle's foot slides beneath my boxers

The slightly cold foot massages slowly
I turn my head slightly, looking upward
Into mischievous sapphire blue eyes

Some mornings are just better then others

Love the sense of comfort mixed with sensuality that this poem gives. I felt as if I were there with you, which tells me that your imagery was very effective. The clever description of the teasing was quite amusing. I loved the fact that the leg was "milky" rather than tan...being an unbelievably pale girl myself. Nicely done.

    ...

    Wow!

Anyway, back to the point, I really like this poem because you've actually got a really nice way with words and here you've created some absolutely stunning imagery "mischievous sapphire blue eyes", "slender milky leg... violet panties"
also, the way you've structured the piece, and with a minimalistic use of commas, slows the pace down and it's almost as if I can hear you saying it, whilst you're still in that moment. Very effective, creating a sensual atmosphere.

Well done - keep it up! (if you'll excuse the pun )

    God bless,

OK - new resolution - don't read poetry while on your lunch break! It's too distracting to get back to work! LOL

As always, you transport your reader to your world with your words.
