“Blind Man’s Bluff”

Missing image
The guide dog in a harness with his master who was blind,
walked the city streets, with me not far behind.
They reached an intersection and the traffic light was red.
The dog, then stopped abruptly with his training so inbred.

But then, I was surprised at the spectacle I viewed;
The dog urinated on the blind man’s shoe!
The blind man searched his pocket and a cookie soon was found.
He calmly stretched his arm out and fed it to the hound!

Upon reaching the next corner, it happened as I feared;
The dog raised his leg again and a new cookie, then appeared!
I approached the blind man and I asked him if he knew
that every time they stopped, the dog was leaking on his shoe!

The blind man turned to face me and answered, “Yes, I Know!”
“It seems he always does that everywhere we go!”
“But why do you reward him with the cookies that appear?"
“To find out where his head is, so I can kick him in the rear!”

    Hah! I like it this way and it did NOT take away from the humor in my opinion.

    A little this or that, fine, but this one was funnier because it kept a 'straighter face' while it was downright naughty. Great edit and good job!

    Thank you for your efforts ...lol

    Very funny with interesting twist.
    Form is good for this one, although I would have used group stanzas, were this mine.

    (Please review the criteria regarding some word use.)

    Thank you.
    Warmly, CookieZeal

    Oh this is so funny. I am adding it to the finalists but that is no guarantee. I think I'll show it to all of my friends too and give them a smile. It should be in a magazine or something. Everyone needs to laugh these days. thank you for the entry. Very good use of rhyme.
