Happy Day
Wake to find
A different shoe[?!]
One not mine?
Confused (not dazed)
Wander about
Search for sneaker
Start to pout
In the shoe
The one I found
Lie an egg
Color bound. . .
With blues and greens
And purples too
I had this egg
And a strangers shoe
Or is it mine
Perhaps I'm wrong
I grab the shoe
So to put it on
I sqeeze and pull
I tug and fight
But it won't fit
It's just not right
Someone had stolen
My favorite ones
On Easter morning
Sad, not fun
I found some more
When sitting down
My sweaters gone
I look around
My sweater, shoe
My sweats and socks!
My favorite teddy
And my pet rocks!
And everywhere
That I looked
Was an egg
Where one was took
What had happened?
What had come?
To raid my room
To steal my fun
I thought & I thought
And then I realized
I'd been hoodwinked

When I started the contest I didn't realize easter was going to be long over before the contest, lol. Ah well, live and learn.
Bunny and Clyde, lol, oh my that's so nutty...no eggy.
I remember pet rocks...no wait, I wasn't born then...yeah sure, that's it, I wasn't even born.
