Vitality's Softer Side

Missing image
Gifted beyond man's measure
her lapis transcends

          filters

and favors vitality's softer side.

Care washes within her awareness
finding plateaus,

comforting,

building strength.

Born as Orion begins his slumber,

purple hyacinth and budding crocus
mid sundry colored stones,

lilt within her laughter as
spring cascades!

Playing beauty's soft-strummed chord,
lily breath soars from her harp.

Joy is recognized within her eyes

          admiring my gaze,

fashioning a smile through grateful tears.

Her wisdom touched
with gentle hands

to hold my own.

Happy Birthday Blue Rew!

Alphonse Mucha, Biography

Alphonse Mucha was born in 1860 in Ivancice, Moravia, which is near the city of Brno in the modern Czech Republic. Though Mucha is supposed to have started drawing before he was walking, his early years were spent as a choirboy and amateur musician. It wasn't until he finished high school that he came to realize that living people were responsible for some of the art he admired in the local churches. That epiphany made him determined to become a painter, despite his father's efforts in securing him "respectable" employment as a clerk in the local court.

when I read your verse, pamela, I almost heart blue's voice ... you seem to have tuned into her so closely and lovingly, that you were imbibed by her energy and vibration ... I already realized that you are a colorful chameleon of poetry, able to write in a great variety of forms and about a huge range of subjects, creating a wide palette of moods ...

this tribute-poem is certainly one of your best writes, where the beauty of your heart reflects in every syllable ...

    much love,
    maa

I am overflowing with gratitude for a friend such
as you. You have enriched my life creatively, emotionally, and spiritually since we first met
and continue to be a guide for me in more ways
than I can tell about. This, like all of your
verse, is an embrace of words, meaning, and faith
that flow upon the page and linger within the
heart where they are turned over and over again
to constantly expose some new joy. Love ya!
