I heard the screams
before I saw the flames.
High pitched, the voices pleading
please come quick, help is needed.
The briliant oranges and deep fierce
reds jumped high and peirced the quiet air.
The building slowly loosing the battle.
The rest can't be explained but
I know that it'll always remain,
forever etched in my brain.
Author notes
This is fiction, I just wanted to make that clear.

Okay.
You know even though I know this is fiction, it is realistically written. It does describe a fire that is devastating, and I know this only too well. My house burned in 1997.
