Two in One

One creature that was really two
Pranced about the domain.
Each step and movement was in unison,
Creating this illusion of two in one.

Heat turned to sweat
Plodding turned to flying.
Clear turned to fog,
and all thoughts stopped.

Adrenaline charged through blood vessels,
Intoxication filled every nerve,
It was as though every barrier was broken
And gravity was no longer a limitation.

All good must end,
The Earth always wins,
This is a know fact.

Control was lost,
Terror took over
Thought returned
But was too late to bring change.

A primitive screech ripped the air,
Crimson dashed against white,
Orbs glazed over
Even mind's eye was blind.

The void would not be penetrated
Till dawn bought new sight.

Author notes

A quick poem I thought up for English class. I thought it was pretty good so just posted it for the heck of it.

This poem is about a horseback riding accident that occurred to me a few years ago. I have another poem about it but I thought a new one needed to be made.

Please tell me what you think
