Dare To Dream?

A time before time, where

pastel equilibrium holds,

merges, blends and binds;

the first drops of dew

run red with life as

spirit and soul cry

birth!

Then mist follows mist, still

shadows form; ice,

frost, glacial and pure

shards of the prism

laugh colour to flesh, whilst

hearts and bodies grasp

life.

Calm wave comforts wave, minds

awaken, beaming; joy,

hope, pleasure kisses

the wanton lips of need

in a liliac haze, consuming,

reaching for eternal

love.

A sphere within a sphere; whirls,

spins, blinds; exhaling

fire, molten sips from

faith's pristine cup;

bonding, golden glints

of light seeking

souls.

Then one becomes one; tastes,

senses and touches, protecting

thoughts and feelings, awash

with water colour

passions; cascading tarns

blur within, to embrace the

dream.

Within these words, I would dare to dream. I would wish to dream. Breathtaking imagery is written within this piece. I felt the soul move within each word. There is vision here...

I love the opening lines of each stanza repeating one becomes one etc. giving this poem marvelous rhythm and superb flow. I am enchanted within the words that compliment the image so well, yet need no image to convey the message.

A superb entry. Exactly what I was looking for in this contest. Thank you for this gem. Best of luck in the judging. ~Pamela

Oh! I love your presentation here! Each stanza takes the reader on a personal journey through passions and emotions. It is rich in description and has such elegance and grace.

I'll have to do a little research on your author notes to see the inspiration for this lovely work.

A lovely entry for Pam's contest I have missed reading your lovely words.
