you dry my tears when I feel lost.
Be there with tender love and care,
uplift when all hope seems threadbare.
Make me laugh when storm clouds form,
when needed give me hugs so warm.
Without one single word spoken,
you can sense my heart is broken.
I would intrust you with my life,
and share with you all joys and strife.
Respect our boundaries and stay within,
if ever sensual feelings begin.
Platonic friends allow love to grow,
as man and woman let friendship sow.
Unspoken trust and lines not to cross,
it is not worth our friendship's loss.
God blesses us with friends as gifts,
our love grows stronger as it uplifts.

Beautiful words dedicated to a dear and sweet friend. You are most lucky to have such a frend. I recently saw a movie in french about a man needing a friend. It was warm and loving as it ll came to be. I believe it is rare today for someone to have a really close friend: of course, I may be wrong. Good luck in the contest! Papagallo

What a great description of one of the least appreciated aspects of love. You have done so well expressing the feelings of frienship and the bond that can be built and appreciated by those willing to accept it boundaries.... each part is so strong and builds on each other.. you have chosen you words and images well to complete a wonderful emotion.
