[I can't breathe.
I need to breathe.]
& as she shakes & splutters,
begging at your feet,
remember to smile while you
steal the oxygen from her pale lips
& watch the glimmer in her eyes
[burn out, not fade away.]
She's all yours, sweetie.
Fuck life, she just wants your love.
[& rigor mortis never looked so beautiful.]
She crossed her heart
& hoped to die;
wished on the first star
in the sky.
[but 11:11 comes and
goes & her wish still
isn't granted.]
[tear out her heart;
it was only ever beating for you anyway.]
