My life was black
No where to run
Remembered a time that was so much fun.
I was in love
Not a doubt in my mind
But a search for a new love
Thought I would never find
I was fighting a lost cause
But you were by my side
To cheer me up
So no tears in my eyes
Then it hit me
Someone was listening above
Cause I knew this feeling
I was sure it was love
It popped out of air
No trace to be seen
When it happened I swore
"Only in dreams"
You were to right
Thought wrong, only for me
Thought you were an angel fish
In this hell of a sea
An angel you are
Sent only by god
He answered my prayers
True this is odd
I built up my strength
For nothing I thought
The phone that I held
Knowing the news of distraught
Your voice was so pure
My mind was bleak
It was your heart
I was nothing to seek
The words slipped your mouth
Only one I could seem
Truly I knew
I was in a very vivid dream
After the phone was hung
And my mind so numb
If I thought this was true
I would only be dumb
Tis was only a dream
Nothing more nothing less
So I crawled into bed
Wishing for the best
It was not a dream
And your lips I soon kissed
Every night I know
It is you that I miss
Your like a permanent thought
Racing about my mind
Reminding myself
How life holds so little time
I told myself am not going to risk
If I lost you
My life would soon be missed
You are my heart
You are my soul
You are my lonely cheerio
In my fragile breakfast bowl
Here I sit now dreaming only of you
Just wandering if you left
There is something I would have to do
You have the last piece
Of my puzzle to my heart
If this was lost
Nothing would play its part
Every word is meant
Not everything is said
In the future there is more
Much more to be read
But you know it all
Right down to the dot
If you would see
There is no lie to spot
I speak the truth
Or nothing at all
I am the net to catch you
If you ever have a fall
So full of beauty you are
And how opposite of me
Thought my only love
Would be one who couldn’t see
But your eyes saw clear
Right past this part
It cut right threw
To the vastness of my heart
It is all for you
So take it all, please
All I want from you
Is to stay forever with me
I will protect you from harm
I will protect whatever you need
Just don’t worry
Me, you'll never need to please
I am already happy
You're the air that I need
Without either of you
I wouldn't be able to breath
Each morning I rise
Thinking of you
Knowing it to be wise
To accept it is true
I now accept this

God sent you to me
From the heavens above
So my angel you now know it all

I think you could have put a little more effort in your phrases to make them sound slightly less childish and maybe add more words in your phrases to make them full sentences. That's really the only critique I have for you. Thanks for entering!! -

You are my soul
You are my lonely cheerio

Those lines made me giggle, and feel like the feeling behind this were so sincere and yet so playful, the way love should be. Very beautiful and good luck with the contests you have entered this into. -
