Psyche projections
infiltrate from birth,
one blue, one pink.
In hypnotic hyperbole
rewards are raised
for courting conformity's conduct.
Yet poverty paves paths
strewn with recalcitrant renegades
who presume to mutiny;
mesmerised minds manifesting
marked identity.
Ruthless retribution
riddles recognised rogues
to resemblance,
left dispossessed;
donned with derision's diadem.

Love the alliteration in this...it adds a hard-hitting edge to this. I had to read this 3 times to be able to appreciate it in its entirety and would still return to read it again. A very good entry into this contest indeed. Good luck in the judging. La x
