Through The Heavens, Jonny's Song (version two)

Twinkling stars light my way
Then the rising sun, a new day

A beautiful dove guides me
As sky blends with the sea

Day brings its treasure
I am happy beyond measure

Butterflies float on colored wings
Birds twitter and my heart sings

I feel the touch of Master’s love
As He watches from above

Through boundless time I fly
With stars and moon on high

I am happy within my soul
With Buddha’s love I feel whole

I fear not this place of light
Embraced by love day and night

Mother I miss you, dry your tears
Father hold her relieve her fears

For I am not alone within my heart
Let’s smile together, never part

*chorus* to be sung at intervals throughout the song

  Buddha, welcome me
To your bosom safe and warm
Show me Heaven’s treasures
Keep me free from harm

    This Is Beautiful

What a beautiful poem. It rhymed so nicely and was very musical in the rythem in which I was reading this poem. So precious of a write, for such a sad trajedy that light did shine for this Chinese boy. I loved it very much and I remember the other one as well. Thank you for sharing your gift to write poetry with beat and rythem in it which is made into a song. Just lovely!
    Blessings

Did I read the original? I'll go see, doesn't sound familiar, but my memory is shot anyway.

So much sadness in the world, and I know, your poem is written to re-affirm and give hope, but I still can't help but see it as an end...but I'm glad others have a strong faith, it would be comforting to have that myself.

This is a beautiful song for Jonny. It touched my heart even before I read the author's note.

    Very Nice

Very well done, and i like it. I have a similar piece about tragedy the person was older though. It was very moving and I enjoyed the flow of it. Well Done!

Thank you for reading and your kind comment, Karl. Perhaps you'll take a look at the original lyrics, too. Longer, but needed to shorten them a bit. This is a song that a musician and I are working on and may possibly turn into a recording. Still some work needed though I think
