Genuine Fragrances

Through daily practice, glib tongues fabricate with great dexterity,
until lives become inventions based on snakelike fabrications of reality.
Putting self on exclusive pedestal of elevated conceit,
as blindness to fundamental equality is stepped on under red carpet of self prestige.
Central beginning of all life brings all humanity to equality's level,
where truth becomes hidden by puritan's veil.
There is also the vent from which flatulence is released,
a function unwavering in it's often untimely escapades.
Stand close by and scents of integrity will waft your way!

Great take on the prompt--some great phrases in this poem such as "snakelike fabrications" and "truth becomes hidden by puritan's veil." Good luck in the contest!
