I see you pass me everyday
You casually say hello and pass right by
Your smile makes me wonder
Does it mean something?
Does it mean nothing?
You joke and laugh with me
I wonder if it is flirting and teasing
You touch my arm and
Thoughts race through my mind
Was it sexual, friendly, romantic?
My hopes are constantly rising
Wondering if you will ever feel the same,
Or if your heart belongs to another
Some say yes
Some say no
How can I approach you?
I am too frightened of what you would say
One answer makes me shake
The other makes me tremble with fear
That is why they call it a crush

Ahh... I can relate to this poem very well! I think it protrays the feelings that all people go through very well!

This is quaint. I like the feel that you trul are smitten by this person and are very engaged into their every motion and every word. I think you perfectly captured the feeling of having a crush- the jitters, the heartache, and the longing. And bravo for doing it with very structured and fluidic rhyme form. Cheers. Good luck in the contest.

I really liked this poem. It reminded me of Secret Heart by Feist (which is a (very) good thing).

Very vivid imagery and true description of what a crush feels like...so many questions looking for answers, yet often so hard to ask...nicely illustrated...
Best to you!

A very well written piece of poetry. It is hard to know what we should do in a situations such as this. Good luck in the contest.
