Daytime is outside my window
but the black curtains
have blocked out the only light
that remains in my life
all my days
are nights
and all my nights
are pitche black
without a night-light to see by
my dreams for perfection
of achieving my goals
my ambition
has faded
and all I dream about is the horror
of my life
I may be breathing and alive
but still
my life
is
nothing
