God Bless Our Troops (Acrostic)

Missing image
Glory given to all our brave troops
Old veterans sit on front porch stoops
Discussing past wars of yesterday

Bless all those soldiers passed away
Land of the free home of the brave
Embodied force let old glory wave
Soldiers remain brave till job is done
Stand tall and proud till peace has won

Opponents of oppression in the world
United together as our flag is unfurled
Rally while our troops are in harms way

Take time to pray for them each day
Ready to serve they do not think twice
Overseas our brave troops sacrifice
Outcries are answered to help the meek
Peace and harmony is what they seek
Strong and mighty protect the weak

A beautiful acrostic poem. Yes, God bless our troops and protect them. War is indeed hell and this war has more horror tah words can describe. It is said that "old soldiers never die, they just fade away." May you do well in the contest and God bless you.
